I’m proud to announce that I’m now offering virtual therapy services in Massachusetts!
Virtual Therapy in Massachusetts
In addition to being licensed in Texas, I am also licensed in Massachusetts as an LMFT. It is my hope that with my expertise in relationship issues, infertility, grief, and spiritual trauma; to name a few, I can reach more people and be a resource to clinics to meet needs. Virtual therapy has opened so many therapy doors for people to pursue therapy. My hope is that therapy is seen as preventive care, recognizing issues before they become elephant sized for individuals as well as for couples. Having a seasoned licensed therapist in your state/town may not be an option. It may not be as affordable, or it may be a town where ‘everyone knows everyone’ and you want a safe and confidential space to work on yourself. Virtual therapy may be a great fit for you as you juggle work, home, life schedules. I extend my virtual days to accommodate schedules.
What does virtual therapy look like?
When you call or email me for an appointment, you receive electronic forms to complete in your portal. This also applies to in-person sessions. These forms allow me to see you and collect consent forms and information for therapy. We schedule a time and then you receive a link. I use the SimplePractice (SP) software, which is HIPAA compliant. If you are using a laptop/desktop computer, you click on the link that gets emailed to you. I ‘admit’ you into the therapy room, which is similar to Zoom. If you are using a tablet or a phone, you may need to download the SP app. Then, you will proceed by using the directions and clicking on the link. We have our session with our cameras and microphones on. If you have any hesitancy or questions, I encourage you to reach out and have a conversation about what a virtual therapy would look like for you.
